I just went through a dozen different possible ways to name this. I ask myself first, what is the best way to entitle this post? And second, what are people going to think about this?
"Oh, here's Theo the pedophile going deeper into his investigations! There he goes! We now have a full-blown pedophile on our hands!"
I know that successful people make a habit of ignoring some projections they may get from others. I don't know if I am preventing my own success by acknowledging them, but I just find there is no way around it.
I want to talk about sex in childhood.
Firstly, because I want to deal with the circumstances of my youth and my awareness of sex as a young boy. As I seek to find my soulmate, I know I have to clear out all the false beliefs, shame, and resentment I have surrounding the issue of sex.
Secondly, I may have children one day and my own beliefs will inevitably be thrust upon these sensitive, innocent beings finding their way in life. I want to have the full force of the knowledge of God's truth behind my actions as I help guide them in life.
Thirdly, I know that worldwide, the feelings surrounding sex in our earlier developmental stages are mired in confusion, shame, guilt, fear and a whole lot of repression. In short, we need to talk about this.
Now, I know that was a long introduction compared to the rest of this post which will actually be very short. In this post, I don't want to go for too long. I may come back and edit it but for now, I have to go to work and I want to present some truths that may be hard for people so they can think about it and also so that I can think about it and pray about it in the coming hours and days, asking God for more knowledge on each issue.
I really only want to say two things here. These are truths. And you can take them as you like.
The first truth is this: Prepubescent children can become sexually aroused.
Yes.
I am saying that boys can get erections and the vagina of a girl can become engorged and ready for sex.
The second truth I will state is this: Prepubescent children can attain orgasm.
I am saying that girls and boys are able to experience the thrilling climax that is the sexual orgasm long before they go through the physical changes of puberty.
That's it. That's all I have to post today. Look for more ahead.
