I was listening to a Divine Truth (DT) video the other day and was struck by something AJ said. He was talking about what you can expect to see in the world as people become more loving. One member of the audience made the following remark:
"What you're describing is a utopia."
In response, AJ said, "Yes, that's exactly right. God set up a utopia for us to live in."
Before I go on, let me say that I'm only paraphrasing the exchange. I have watched a few DT videos recently and I wasn't sure which one this came from. These videos are about 2 hours in length. I could comb through the 6 hours of video to find the exact quote. I also thought about making a clip video and posting it to my channel. But I would need permission for that. For now, I'm just doing a paraphrase.
So anyway, what does that mean to me? I feel like it's very powerful. It reminds me of that goal from my youth that perfection is possible.
How many of us have adopted a cynical approach to life? I have seen it countless times. I will talk about the potential that we have and people will roll their eyes. I've gotten a number of different responses over the years.
"Things just don't work out that way, Theo."
"So you're a Jesus freak."
"I don't believe in perfection."
"To err is human."
"You're too idealistic."
When I listen to Christian sermons, I often feel a similar cynical attitude from the speakers. Few people really talk about Heaven anymore. How can you talk about something you've never experienced? How can you get people to believe you even if you did? "Just stay the course," I hear them say. "Why? Well, it'll work out if you have faith and believe in Jesus."
In AJ we have someone who appears to have no doubt about the things he is teaching. He claims to remember what some of the heavens he's passed through has been like. And he describes what it's like to receive God's Love. I have not been to heaven, although I've had some dreams that made me feel I was there. And it was marvelous. I also believe I've received God's Love and that was also marvelous.
I don't know if AJ knows what he's talking about. But I'm inclined to believe him. And I feel the stirrings of my heart. Perhaps a utopia is possible. It sounds like something a loving God would want to grant us all.
