Turning the other Cheek

In the first century Jesus taught his followers that if they are struck on one cheek, to turn the other cheek to the assailant. I have spent a lot of time in my life wondering what this meant. Only God knows my fervent desire and the time I invested to gain more wisdom on this teaching. Today, I have found the most concise explanation to date. This comes as a message channeled through a person known as FAB from Jesus himself. I cannot speak to the authenticity of the source but believe that the message is one that Jesus would certainly support. Link to the original message on the New Birth website: https://new-birth.net/contemporary-messages/messages-sorted-year/messages-2007/turning-the-other-cheek-fab-27-mar-2007/ Turning the other cheek. March 27th, 2007 Santa Cruz, California Received by FAB I am here, Jesus. I wish to comment on my teaching, “turn the other cheek.” I did teach this, and continue to do so. What I was trying to say is, we should not respond with viole...

Taking Sides Politically

I had a friend in high school who was a big brain. I was jealous of his political knowledge, logic, and smooth rhetoric. When he finally asked me one day where I stood politically, whether as a conservative or a liberal, I found myself unable to give a straight answer. The question still presses me now. If I were to update my response, I would say there are only those intentions, desires, thoughts, and actions that, on balance, are more loving, and those that are built upon error. I strive to be more loving. I wish to be more moral than I was yesterday. Whatever moral virtue I discover and instill in my own heart, people can ascribe it's place on the political spectrum to their own satisfaction. To me, the important question is not whose side I take but the morality of the decisions I make. In other words, can my feelings on any given subject line up with those of God?

How Your Donations Will Help Me

Ever since I began attempting to live by the principles of the gift economy, I have received no donations. The pain that I feel as a result of that is currently more of an embarrassment that comes from the feeling that I am doing nothing of importance and that people would make a mistake by donating to me. But I can release this, and when I do, I believe things will change. In an attempt to challenge some of my fears surrounding money, I'm taking a moment to talk about the things I want for myself and how your donations will help me. These are beautiful things and when I receive them, people will ask how it was accomplished. Then my sisters and brothers across the world can use my example for their own development, just as I have used the example of my own heroes. Here are the things I am after: 1. Prove that God is a Being of complete goodness 2. Prove that I can heal damaged teeth and regrow missing teeth through the power of faith 3. Acquire damaged land and restore it...

The Futility of Blaming Leaders

It has always been a very popular exercise to blame authority and those in charge. Instead of engaging in this practice, I recommend going inward every time you feel anger about the way things are. Consider getting out a punching bag and beating it and asking God for help in releasing your anger. There is no real benefit in blaming those who society has chosen to be its leader. It is true that many in power have dark hearts. But ask yourself how a lack of compassion would have any kind of positive effect in changing the heart of someone who is in their own hell. It is simply futile. Instead, love your enemy. Remember the words of Jesus in the first century. Think of the times in your own life where the compassion and earnest encouragement from others contributed to a change in your perspective. It will be the same for the leaders that people love to blast with all of their rageful emotions. Someone is more likely to change when they are given compassion and forgiveness. Remember ...

A Guide for Children who Self-Shop

Hey Everyone, If you find this guide, know that you are among the best and the brightest. Chances are you have loving people around you influencing you to develop your own autonomy and grow into self-responsible children of God. Many are not so blessed to grow up around loving, guiding influences. If you want to go out on your own (or with friends) to shop, work, grab a meal or snack, or go for a swim, there are certain things you need to know about the world outside. Child Endangerment Laws Currently in many countries there are laws that prevent you from traveling on your own. These laws are tyrannical for the self-responsible young person and protective for those who aren't responsible. It may be necessary to obey the law for now but help advocate for them to change in the future. Life in the City If you live in a city, you will find a lot of signs posted everywhere along with traffic lights and many markings on the street. Some basic reading and math knowledge and depen...

Children are a Gift

Every decision we make is governed by God's loving laws. When a woman and man have sex and a child's soul is attracted to a fertilizing egg, the opportunity to raise a new life on Earth is given to that couple and to the world. Unfortunately, many people today see child-rearing as a burden. Some vile mothers and fathers dare to say, "I brought you into the world and I can take you out of it!" Others love to talk ad nauseam to friends and family about the great tribulation that comes with raising a child. But if the opportunity to raise a child is a gift, then it cannot be a trial or a tribulation or any kind of burden unto you. People need to WAKE UP!  There are so many addictions associated with raising children. It's no wonder we grow up so screwed in the heart and head when we have little to no conception of what love is... when we are guided to hate, steal, cheat, lie, and manipulate by the very first people we set eyes upon. One major truth that has n...

Viruses and Bacteria

We are in the midst of a Virus Fear Campaign. Our economy is being strangled and we are being instructed to stop being human. Don't go out and interact with others. Don't hug, shake hands, and bump fists with anyone. Stay at home and interface with others through computers. The reasons for this fear campaign are likely many. I will save you from my own musings on the subject. But one thing I will remind people is that no government can make your choices for you. If we want to see a better world, we must love it into being through kind, thoughtful, love-based action, not through violence and fighting. In my search, I have found two doctors with vast experience who have decided to question the conventional wisdom about viruses and bacteria and have found meaningful answers. Germ Theory turns out to be just a theory. When you get down to the heart of the matter, it seems that bacteria and viruses, instead of causing illness, appear to be members of the clean-up crew in the sec...

The Emotional Error that Creates a Cult

I was watching Jesus talk about the emotions that create cults. He said that a cult leader takes responsibility for the actions of the people in the cult. Here is the video if you're interested:  https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9QG5HeSIH4Q&list=WL&index=3&t=0s This is something that Jesus does not do but it is something that the founder of the religion I grew up in did. His name was Sun Myung Moon and he claimed to be the Second Coming of Christ. He talked about indemnity for sin - which was all about the price you had to pay to be absolved of your sin. He claimed that he paid the price for humanity - that he came before God and offered himself in his life as a willing sacrifice to pay for the sins of others. Even as a young man hearing this, I felt the error in it. Now I know why. The truth is that you can't pay for someone else's sin. You can only seek restitution for your own. There are two ways to do this. One is to experience all the negative conseque...
